That apple and mega stuff Oreo both contain 90 calories! Yeah a single mega stuff Oreo is 90 freaking calories! IDK about you, but nothing about that tiny Oreo seems “mega” to me! 😂
Look fat loss is very basic, it all comes down to a simple energy balance equation. It is true that you can eat “junk” foods and still make very good progress with fat loss. As long as you maintain a calorie deficit you will continue to lose body fat, BUUUT the types of foods we choose to eat do have a large impact on how much we WANT to eat vs how much we NEED to eat.
Think about it for a second. When was the last time you ate an apple and thought to yourself “Damn I could really go for about 12 more apples.” Probably never 😉 Now replace that apple with an Oreo and yeah, exactly. Like really, how hard is to eat just a single Oreo. Pretty freakin hard! This is exactly why I try to keep Oreos out of the house cuz they tend to disappear a whole row at a time! 🤷♂️😂
If your goal is to lose fat then the fact is you need to be in a calorie deficit. Maintaining a calorie deficit is a lot easier when you choose to eat MOSTLY whole unprocessed foods. Not only are whole unprocessed foods more filling for less calories, but they also provide much better nutrient profiles providing your body with essential vitamins minerals and fiber. This will help keep you strong and healthy making your entire fat loss journey a much smoother road.
Of course you can and should make room in your diet for “fun foods”. As long as you are mindful of total calories then you can and will make progress towards your goals while still enjoying tasty fun foods. You got this! ✌️
